INFGO 30 Amp Generator Cord and Inlet Box Kit
A 30 A generator cord and a pre-drilled inlet box in one kit. The cord is 10/4 AWG all-copper with a NEMA L14-30P plug for the generator and an L14-30R twist lock for the box, carrying up to 7,500 W at 125/250 V. Both pieces are ETL listed, and the box opens on any of four sides so the conduit can come from wherever it needs to. Available in 10, 15, 25 and 50 ft.
Shop Generator CordsAbout this item
A 30 A generator cord and a matching power inlet box in one kit, both ETL listed, for feeding a house from a portable generator during an outage. The cord runs NEMA L14-30P at the generator to an L14-30R twist lock at the box, so it cannot be pulled loose. Four lengths are available: 10, 15, 25 and 50 ft.
Thirty amps at 250 V is 7,500 W, which is the ceiling the cord carries — not an output, since it passes whatever the generator actually produces. Conductors are 10/4 AWG solid copper in an STW jacket with a flame-retardant PVC sheath and moulded waterproof plugs, rated for rain, snow, heat and UV. The inlet box is pre-drilled on all four sides, so the cable can enter from whichever direction the wall allows, and a green indicator shows when power is present. Connecting it to a panel needs a transfer switch or interlock fitted by a licensed electrician.
Key Features
- Heavy Duty 30 Amp Generator Cord — INFGO 30 amp generator cord is made of 100% pure copper conductors with flame-retardant coating and durable PVC jacket. Length: 25FT; Voltage: 125V/250V; Wire Gauge: 10/4 AWG SJTW; Male Plug: NEMA L14-30P; Female Plug: NEMA L14-30R twist locking connector; Max Wattage: 7,500 Watts.
- Pre-Drilled 30 Amp Generator Inlet Box — NEMA L14-30P 30 amp inlet box is designed with pre-drilled holes on all 4 sides (left, right, bottom, rear), allowing direct connection to switches and panels from multiple directions. NO drilling tools needed – easily open the hole with your fingers in just 30 seconds. Large interior space (4" x 3" x 6.1") makes wiring simple and hassle-free.
- Weatherproof & All-Season Durability — Heavy-duty STW jacket with waterproof molded plugs and flame-retardant PVC sheath. Built to withstand rain, snow, extreme heat, UV rays, and rough conditions. Twist lock design prevents accidental disconnection from vibration or pulling – your power stays on when you need it most.
- ETL Listed & Safety Certified — Both the 30A generator cord and power inlet box are ETL Listed, meeting strict North American electrical safety standards. The input box is equipped with a green indicator light that provides a clear visual indication of the power status. 100% copper conductors with thick insulation ensure stable current and cool operation even under full load.
- What You'll Get — Complete kit includes: 1 x 30A generator extension cord (10FT) + 1 x pre-drilled 30A generator inlet box + 1 x cable tie . Backed by professional customer service – contact us anytime with questions, and we'll respond promptly.

What the rating means
A cord's wattage is its current times its voltage, nothing more. At 30 A and 250 V that is 7,500 W, which is the figure INFGO prints on the listing. Wattage is a ceiling, not an output: the cord carries whatever the generator actually produces, up to this limit.
| Current x voltage | 30 A x 250 V |
|---|---|
| Maximum load | 7,500 W |
| Conductors | 10/4 AWG |
| Generator end | NEMA L14-30P plug |
| House end | NEMA L14-30R twist lock, into a NEMA L14-30P inlet box |
Which length
Every length in this kit carries the same 30 A and the same connectors. Length is the only variable, so pick by the distance from where the generator stands to where the inlet box is mounted, and add slack.
| Length | Current | Maximum load | Connectors |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 ft | 30 A | 7,500 W | NEMA L14-30P to NEMA L14-30R |
| 15 ft | 30 A | 7,500 W | NEMA L14-30P to NEMA L14-30R |
| 25 ft | 30 A | 7,500 W | NEMA L14-30P to NEMA L14-30R |
| 50 ft | 30 A | 7,500 W | NEMA L14-30P to NEMA L14-30R |
Connecting a generator to a building's wiring needs an inlet box and a transfer switch or interlock installed to your local code. Have that work done by a licensed electrician: back-feeding a panel without one puts voltage on the utility line.
What it connects to
| Equipment | Works | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Generator with a NEMA L14-30R outlet | Yes | The cord's L14-30P male plug goes into the generator |
| The inlet box in this kit | Yes | The cord's L14-30R twist-lock end connects to the box's L14-30P |
| 50 A generators and equipment | No | Different connector entirely; that is the 50 A kit, NEMA 14-50P to SS2-50R |
| Standard household 120 V outlets | No | This is a 125/250 V four-wire twist-lock system, not an extension cord |
